Cat’s Meow
Client: Muse Project
Architect: Henderson& Co
Builder: Zone Consultancy & Projects
Cat’s Meow is a new cocktail bar in Sydney’s Darlinghurst that brings to life the bygone era’s sophistication. Our client needed to create an art deco interior with original decorations to move their guests into the mysterious atmosphere of the nightclubs from the 1920s.
The venue consists of three rooms, where the central part is a beautiful bar with a marble front and geometric decorative pattern in a Great Gatsby style. This part of the design required top skills and the most incredible attention to details.
One of the most impressive and the most critical parts of Cat’s Meow design was a large customised chandelier hanging over the bar and around the column. Our team worked hard on this element, ensuring all components fit perfectly together and make a final special effect. The result is incredible, as the chandelier, together with the atmospheric lighting and curved curtains, bring an unforgettable character to the venue.
In the Butcher’s Library, we have installed classy cabinets made of dark timber that display top quality cellar wine and champagne bottles. With moody lights, dark walls, and marble tables, the room brings back the underground bar’s memories from the era.
In the Champagne room, we installed a comfortable plush booth sitting that suits perfectly the curved curtains, mirror walls and lighting. Marble tables with gold elements complete the whole design.
We worked closely with our client to build a chic and luxurious interior during this exciting project, focusing on every element with the greatest attention to detail. We are incredibly proud and satisfied with the final result.
